Geography plays a fundamental role in ONS - underpinning the collection, processing, presentation and analysis of virtually all National Statistics. ONS Geography develops the policy for geography across National Statistics and provides datasets and high quality geographic support to ONS business areas and to a wide range of other statistical data suppliers/users including government departments, local authorities, academia, and the NHS. ONS Geography is recognised for its expertise both nationally and internationally, and plays a key role in the development of geographic policy across government.
